- The Scriptures Inspired:
- We believe the scriptures to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and as such they are revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 2:2)
- The One True God:
- We believe in on God, eternal and self-existent, self revealed and manifested to man as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:30-11; Mathew 28:19).
- We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin, Mary. (John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:18; Luke 1;26-27; Luke 2:7; 1 Timothy 2:5)
- Man, His Fall And Redemption:
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin. (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).
- We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood as a sacrifice for our sins; He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High. (1Peter 2:24; Hebrew 9:11-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Acts 2:32-36; Hebrews 10:12).
- We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to glorify Christ, to convict men of sin, righteousness and judgment and to empower the believer. (John 15:26; John 16:8, 14; Acts 1:8). We believe that man can be justified by grace through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12; Romans 3:24-28).
- The Salvation of Man:
- We believe the eternal Son of God took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the Virgin Birth and atonement for sin was made by the vicarious, sacrificial and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:21-23; John 1:1-2,14,18,29,49; Luke 1:27,20-31; Revelation 2:17-18).
- We believe the Grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ and that man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, and, being justified by grace through faith, he becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 2:11; Romans 10:13-15; Luke 24:47; Titus 3:5-7).
- We believe the inward evidence, to the believer of his salvation, is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16); the outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
- We believe the power of salvation is found in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and His ascension into heaven and His priestly intercession and advocacy (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9,11; 2:33; Philippians 2:19-21; Hebrew 1-3; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).
- Baptism In Water:
- We believe that the ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures, by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Christ as an inner cleansing; thus they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22).
- The Lords' Supper:
- We believe the Lord's Supper consisting of the elements, bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26; and a prophecy of His coming (1 Corinthians 11:26); and is enjoined on all believers "until He comes".
- Tithes and Offerings:
- We believe that Gods's means of supporting the five-fold ministry and the work of the Church is from the tithe and the offerings of God's people. The church is to be supported by the voluntary tithe and offerings of its members and adherents. The tithe is the first ten percent of our income and belongs to the Lord. Offerings are above and beyond the tithe. Regular financial support was the norm in the New Testament Churches. God has designed the Church to carry out the social functions among Christians, as well as getting out the Gospel to non-Christians, and paying tithe and giving free will offerings is the means to provide for the ministry of the "House." God considers withholding the tithe and offerings to be robbery. He has promised consequences for disobedience and blessing for obedience, and has promised to rebuke the devourer and open the windows of Heaven for those who out of a pure heart honor Him with tithes and offerings. (Genesis 14:20; Deuteronomy 12:6-12; Matthew 23:23; 2 Chronicles 3:11; Luke 11:42; Malachi 3:8-12; 1 Corinthians 16:20; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
- The Baptism of the Holy Spirit:
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit wherein the spirit is sent to gift believers with their own private prayer/praise language used to edify themselves, and that such a baptism empowers the believer to be effective for Christ. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:39; 1 Corinthians 14:2; Jude 20; 1 Corinthians 14:18; Acts 19:1-6).
- We believe that the Holy Spirit is a work today within the Church through His gifts, fruit and anointed ministers. (Acts 2:39; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galations 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:28).
- We believe that the gifts of the Holy spirit are given to every believer and need to be activated and exercised to fulfill their divine purpose of blessing the Body of Christ. (Act 2:39; 2 Timothy 1:6).
- We believe the Baptism of the believers in the Holy spirit is witnessed by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance (Acts 2:4). The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:4, 10, 28), but different in purpose and use. This wonderful experience is distinct from the subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Acts 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7,9).
- Sanctification:
- We believe the Scriptures teach a life of Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. By the power of the Holy Ghost, we are able to obey the command, "Be ye Holy, for I am Holy." Entire sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God's Word (Hebrew 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15, 16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6).
- The Church:
- We believe that the true Church is composed of such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.(1 Peter 2:4-5; Ephesians 2:19-22).
- We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is God's instrument to establish and extend God's Kingdom until the literal coming of Christ to reign over all the earth. (Revelation 11:15).
- We believe in the autonomy of each local church and that itinerant ministries should be based out of and related to a local church with accountability to a senior minister. (Acts 13:1; Acts 15).
- We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ expressed as the church individual, the church local and the church universal and invisible. As such we believe the Church to be more than just a building or a gathering of direction of the Head, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 6:15; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Romans 16:5; 1 Peter 2:4-5; Ephesians 2:1922; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16).
- We believe in church discipline administered within the relational group in a spirit of meekness and confidentiality. The purpose of such discipline is the restoration of the one subject to the discipline and/or the purification of the relational group. The steps of discipline are, one on one private confrontation, private confrontation with the witnesses and finally, exposure to the relational group. (Matthew 18:15-20; Galations 6:1; Romans 16:17; 2 John 9-11; 1 Corinthians 5; 2 Corinthians 2:6-8; 1 timothy 5:20).
- We believe as members of the same Body of Christ, baptized by one Spirit into one Body that we must endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, and as such that we should not bring a lawsuit against another Christian individual or ministry unless all scriptural principles have been complied with through efforts of mediation. We believe that all such disputes should be resolved within the Body of Christ without taking them before unbelievers for judgment. (1 Corinthians 6:1-8; Ephesians 4:3-6).
- We believe that in all matters concerning the Body of Christ, in its direction, discipline, ministry and functioning, that specific guidance and instruction, revelation and discernment of truth from falsehood, is available by the leading of the Holy Spirit who enables us to know spiritual things by the Spirit (Acts 13:1-3; 1 Timothy 1:18; Romans 8:14; 1 Timothy 5:22; John 1:13-15; 1 Corinthians 5:3).
- Divine Healing:
- We believe in divine healing of the body as part of the atoning work of Jesus Christ and is the privilege of all believers. This healing can be received and also ministered to others by various gifts (Isaiah 53:4; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).
- Evangelism:
- We believe that Christ wants the members of His Church to carry the Gospel into all the World. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
- The Five-Fold Ministry:
- We believe in the full function of the five-fold ministry which was given to perfect and equip the saints so they can enter into the work of their ministry, thereby edifying the whole body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:28).
- We believe in the present day ministries of the apostles and prophets, which Christ has set in the Church as foundational and revelational ministries. We believe these two ministries will be restored to function in full power and authority before the literal second coming of Christ. (Ephesians 2:2-10; Acts 3:21).
- Prophecy:
- We believe that God speaks today. There are at least five channels of prophecy by which God speaks to his people. They are the office of the prophet, prophetic preaching, prophetic presbytery, the gift of prophecy and the spirit of prophecy. All five channels are received and encouraged in this church. We believe that hearing from God, both individually as members and corporately as a church through prophecy or any other biblical means chosen by God to communicate, is essential to our faith and walk with God. Prophecy and prophetic utterance is only one method of discerning God's will and direction and it is recognized that none of the methods or channels of prophecy will always be 100 percent accurate and actions should not be taken on the basis of prophetic words alone without other confirmation. We believe that prophetic presbytery serves the purpose in the Body of Christ in activation, establishing, releasing, commissioning, and ordaining gifts to their office, function and place of relationship and/or leadership. (1 Corinthians 14:3; Ephesians 4:11; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Timothy 4:14; Acts 13:1-3; Titus 1f:5; Romans 12:6; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Corinthians 14:39; 1 Corinthians 14:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21; 1 Timothy 5:22; 2 Timothy 1:6).
- The Second Coming of Christ:
- We believe in the personal, literal second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to judge both the living and the dead. (1 Thessalonians 4:16; Hebrews 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 20:11-15; Acts 24:15).
- We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:5-52; Revelation 11:15).
- The Millennial Reign of Jesus:
- We believe in the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth is the scriptural promise and the world's hope (2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:11-14; Romans 11:26-27; 20:1-7).
- The Lake of Fire:
- We believe that the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, shall be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15).
- The New Heaven and New Earth:
- We according to His promise, look for a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:22).
